Art about Technology (mostly)

by Mark Crummett

I view technology as a benign mystery. Open a computer. Look insider while it's running. It looks the same as when it's off. Just what's going on in there?

I've always been a technophile. If it's got buttons and switches, it's for me. I got into photography because it has cool toys. Same with computers. After taking some classes in computer repair, I figured that they ran on smoke and magic. If the smoke comes out, they stop working. And troubleshooting them requires familiarity with an arcane body of knowledge and an understanding of their idiosyncrasies. What's needed are the tools to manage that technology.
